Despite their multi-million dollar prices, none of these watches come close though to the most expensive watch ever built. In 2007 Hublot built a Big Bang with a tourbillon movement studded by 493 Wesselton baguette diamonds. The watch was valued at US$1,000,000.
Not to be outdone, later in the same year Chopard has built a watch (pictured on the right) which comes festooned with three heart-shaped diamonds weighing 38 carats (15 carat pink heart diamond, 12 carats blue heart diamond and 11 carats white heart diamond). These hearts are fixed to the bracelet that is decked out with white and yellow flowery diamonds weighing 163 carats. In total, you will get 200 carats diamonds. The price US$25,000,000.
The Hublot and Chopard creations have to be the two most expensive watches in terms of sheer cost of raw materials.
Undoubtedly, when (and if) the Hublot or Chopard creations are sold, they will find their way into the Patek Philippe dominated list. Notably, though, none of the Patek Philippe list above have any jewels or diamonds adorning their bezel.
