Officine Panerai Luminor Marina PAM 00048. The Panerai PAM 48 is one of the 40mm Panerai Luminor Marina models. It uses a highly accurate COSC certified self-winding mechanism, the Panerai OP III Calibre which produces 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz) with a 42 hour power reserve. The PAM 00048 is water resistant up to 300 meters and is protected by the Incabloc anti shock device.

The clamp which protects the winding mechanism is what gives the PAM 00048 and other Luminor's their distinctive look. This clamp was patented in Italy in 1956, and Panerai was able to obtain a U.S. Patent in 1960.

One size does not really fit all, and Officine Panerai does not want to leave anybody in the cold. There are several variations of the Luminor Marina PAM 48. These are the PAM 00049, 00282, 00050, 00051 and 00283 which collectively give you a choice of dials (black, white and blue dials), and either leather straps or steel bracelets, all in 40mm.
Other versions. 40mm versions of the Luminor in GMT (PAM 00244), Power Reserve (PAM 00241) and Chronograph (PAM 00310).
