New IWC Aquatimers

SIHH 2009. Going more conventional for Swiss watchemaker, IWC. IWC which has released many innovatively designed watches in the past few decades, is releasing several new divers watches, or "Aquatimers" in 2009, which are decidedly more conventional than their predecessors.

Aquatimer 2000. IWC is releasing a new version of its Aquatimer 2000 watch. The Aquatimer 2000 had a rare divers bezel design, with the rotating bezel inside the the case. The newer version has a more diver 60-minute rotating bezel.

Following, current trends, this watch has an even beefier, not at 44 milimiters.

Aquatimer Chronograph. Similalry, IWC has a redesigned chronograph watch, with a more conventional diving watch bezel.


The chronograph is also being offered in a decidedly attractive Galapogos Edition, limited edition watch.


Aquatimer Deep Two. The IWC Deep Two, with a built-in depth gauge is one of the more interesting offerings of IWC for 2009.


About IWC. IWC or the the "International Watch Co. Schaffhausen" was founded by an American engineer from Boston, Florentine Ariosto Jones, in Schaffhausen, Switzerland in the year 1868. IWC Schaffhausen is notable for being the only major Swiss watch factory located in eastern Switzerland, as the majority of the well-known Swiss watch manufacturers are located in western Switzerland.
