Press Release - GENEVA, SWITZERLAND - WEDNESDAY 19 JANUARY 2011: On the second day of the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie (SIHH) in Geneva, some of the world’s top sporting and entertainment stars came together at a special event to celebrate the launch of luxury watch brand IWC Schaffhausen’s new latest generation of its Portofino watch family.
IWC’s gala event ‘A Night in Portofino’ has brought together well known faces – including Hollywood A-listers Cate Blanchett, Kevin Spacey, Matthew Fox, Jean Reno, and Bond director Marc Forster; sporting legends including Zinédine Zidane, and tennis star Boris Becker; supermodel Elle Macpherson; and singer Ronan Keating.
The 21st Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie (International Fair of Fine Luxury Watchmaking) is held from January 17th to 21st 2011 in Palexpo, Geneva. This private trade fair is a landmark event for the fine watch sector, and at this year’s show 19 watch brands will present their new products, including Baume & Mercier, IWC, Cartier and Mont Blanc. Not only does it attract 12,500 international retailers, journalists and brand representatives, but also some of the world’s biggest celebrities.
