Speculating on the fate of the Rolex 14060M

Classic Submariner. The Rolex Submariner 16610 will be discontinued next year, that is a certainty. There is no need to wait for the official announcement at Basel 2010. In 2008, we had the new updated Submariner available in gold and white gold, in 2009, the bi-metal versions also got the same ceramic bezel, maxi case, maxi dial upgrade on the new bracelet. That the all stainless steel Submariner will receive the same upgrades in the coming year is a certainty, what is not clear is what will happen to the 14060M no-date Submariner.

The 14060M was removed from the Official Rolex website since mid 2008 bringing about speculations that the watch was being discontinued, but that was not the case. Whether the not date version of the Submariner will be updated with the new bezel, case, dial and clasp remains to be seen, and we have no intelligent no prediction on this matter.
