BaselWorld 2012 will be held from March 8 to 15, 2012. BaselWorld is a yearly trade show for watches and jewelry held in the City of Basel, Switzerland. Some 2000 companies from the watch, jewelery, precious-stone and related sectors will be presenting their new products and innovations. This blog will be covering the new products to be unveiled by Omega, Patek Philippe and Rolex.
The show dates back to 1917 when there was established the first Schweizer Mustermesse Basel which feature watches and jewelry among other things. In 1983 the show changed its name – it was called BASEL, plus two numerals denoting the exhibition year, for example in 1983 it was called BASEL 83. In 1995 the show once again officially changed its name for 'BASEL 95 - The World Watch, Clock and Jewellery Show'.
We are expecting something big from Rolex this year. Stay tuned.
