Rolex Datejust Turn-O-Graph

Rolex speak. Occupying the space between the dressy Rolex Cellini watches and the sporty Rolex Professional chronometers, is the Rolex Oyster Perpetual. In Rolex speak, Oyster refers to an airtight, dustproof and water resistant case. Perpetual, refers to the self-winding or automatic movement, rather than a perpetual calendar as the term is used by most other watch manufacturers.

Rolex Datejust Turn-O-Graph. The Datejust Turn-O-Graph is a member of Rolex's Oyster Perpetual line. It is a Datejust watch, which is close to close to Rolex's heart as it was Rolex which introduced the first wristwatch to feature a date display on the dial of the watch, in 1945. The date is displayed under a magnifying Cyclops lens. The Datejust Turn-O-Graph introduces a rotating bezel with sixty minute markers for timing durations of time. Other than the bezel, the Datejust Turn-O-Graph is distinguished from the other Datejust watches because of the red seconds hand marker and red date display.

Rolex Turn-O-Graph (Model No. 116261)

The Datejust Turn-O-Graph is a mid-sized watch with a 36mm bezel. It is constructed of combination of steel and gold (white, yellow or rose), and is available with a variety of color of dials (black, slate, blue, white or silver) and bracelets (Oyster and Jubilllee). Inside you have the tried and tested COSC certified Rolex 3135 self-winding movement which produces 28,800 vibrations per hour (4Hz) and has a fifty hours power reserve. The date changes with one click at precisely 12 midnight. The watch is water resistant to 100 meters.

The Datejust Turn-O-Graph, using stick markers rather than Roman or Arabic numerals on the dial, harks back to the older Datejust models. The rotating bezel and red seconds hand giving it a modern contemporary look. Just think of it as the sportiest among the middle children.
