Velistico at The Rolex Forums reports that the Rolex Daytona has apparently had a minor refresh receiving the a new clasp. The new clasp is the same one found on the current Rolex GMT Master II's on the ceramic bezel. This seems to be a reasonable move on the part of Rolex. No point having different Oyster Lock clasps for the two watches.
Apparently, this clasp first appeared on the new Rose Gold Daytona's announced in Basel 2008 and than the stainless steel ones, but it will slowly makes its way to the entire Daytona line-up.
There is a bit of a discussion at the forums as to which is better. Personally, I prefer the new clasp. I found the older one a bit harder to latch and unlatch than I would like.
