Bell & Ross BR 01 Altimeter

Altimeter. The most convention of the  2012 Bell & Ross flight instrument inspired line-up is the BR-01 Altimeter. We already took a look at the rather unique BR-01 Turn Coordinator  and minimalist BR-01 Horizon, now it is the turn of the Altimeter. An altimeter is used in aircraft to determine height over mean sea level.

Bell & Ross BR 01 Altimeter. Unlike the Turn Coordinator and Horizon, the Altimeter is a conventional design. It has hour, minute and second hands, and a large date display at the 3 o'clock.

The similarities to an aircraft altimeter are in the design of the hands, dial and date display.

The BR 01 Altimeter is a fairly large watch with the square PVD finished case being 46 mm wide.  The BR 01 Horizon is supplied with a rubber strap. Bell & Ross is only manufacturing a limited run of 999 pieces of this watch.

While the Altimeter is the simplest of the new aircraft gauge inspired offerings by Bell & Ross, personally, it is my favorite among the three.
